Step 1: In-Person Planning Session

Our journey begins with an in-person planning session. This is where we lay the foundation for a successful photo shoot. During this meeting at my studio on Oak Ridge Drive in The Woodlands, we discuss:

The Reason for Your Photos: Understanding the purpose behind your session helps tailor the shoot to your needs.
Location: We’ll decide whether the shoot will be at our Oak Ridge Drive studio or an on-location spot in The Woodlands.
Wardrobe: Get tips on what to wear to ensure everyone looks their best and coordinates well.
Session Details: We’ll cover all logistical details, including timing, special requests, and what to bring.

This session is a great opportunity to get to know each other, which helps make the actual photo shoot more comfortable and fun.

Step 2: The Photo Session

When the day of the shoot arrives, it’s time to capture some memories! Here’s what you can expect:

Relaxed Atmosphere: My goal is to make everyone feel at ease. We’ll play games, tell jokes, and keep things light-hearted.
Guided Posing: Don’t worry about how to stand or where to look. I’ll guide you through poses that look natural and flattering.
Capturing Candid Moments: Some of the best photos happen in the in-between moments. I’ll be ready to capture those genuine smiles and interactions.

For family sessions, we’ll ensure that kids are engaged and having fun, which makes for the best photos. High school seniors can showcase their unique style and personality, while newborn and maternity sessions focus on the beautiful connection between parents and their little ones.

Step 3: In-Person Reveal Night

The excitement doesn’t end with the photo session. The highlight for many clients is our in-person reveal night. Here’s what happens:

Cinematic Slideshow: See your photos for the first time in a beautiful, cinematic slideshow.
Treats and Refreshments: Enjoy a dessert or treat as you watch your slideshow.
Like It – Love It – Leave It: We’ll play a fun game to sort through your photos, making it easier to choose your favorites.
Mockups and Decisions: Together, we’ll create mockups of wall art and albums, helping you visualize how your photos will look in your home.

Step 4: Artwork Delivery

If Reveal Night is the ice cream sundae, artwork delivery day is the cherry on top! I’ll carefully check to make sure everything meets my {incredibly high} standards, wrap them like gifts, and deliver them to your front door!
